Ingredients
- Onion - 5 Kg
- Tomatoes - 4 Kg
- Hung Curd - 2.5 Kg
- Birista - 1 Kg
- Green Moong - 2 Kg
- Matki - 2 Kg
- Chawli - 2 Kg
- Rice - 7 Kg
- Jeera - 200 gms
- Ghee - 500 gms
- Garam Masala - 150 gms
- Ginger - 250 gms
- Garlic - 250 gms
- Green Chilly - 200 gms
- Kothmbir - 1 Big
- Hing - 50 gms
Preparation
- Soak green moong, matki and chawli in water for a few hours
- Soak rice in water for 1 hour
- Cook green moong, matki and chawli adding some salt and keep aside
- Cook rice adding salt and keep aside
- Fry birista in ghee and keep aside
- Heat oil, add jeera, hing and saute
- Add ginger, garlic and green chilly paste and saute
- Add onion and saute till brown
- Add tomatoes and cook
- Add salt, garam masala and mix
- Add cooked dals and mix
- Add rice and mix
- Add kothmbir and mix
- Add a layer of hung curd and fried birista on top and serve
