Ingredients

  • Rice - 8 Kg
  • Potato - 6 Kg
  • Carrot - 5 Kg
  • Green Peas - 3 Kg
  • Soya - 1 Kg
  • Tomato - 3 Kg
  • Onion - 4 Kg
  • Dahi - 3 Kg
  • Dhaniya Powder - 200 gms
  • Ginger - 200 gms
  • Garlic - 250 gms
  • Green chillies - 200 gms
  • Biryani Masala - 200 gms
  • Haldi - 50 gms
  • Sarson ka Tel - 1 Lt
  • Kothmbir - 1 Big

Preparation

  • Soak rice in water for 1 hour
  • Boil soya in water adding salt and then remove and squeeze out water
  • Heat oil, add jeera and saute
  • Add garlic, ginger and chilli paste and saute
  • Add dalchini, badi elaichi, tejpatta and saute
  • Add onion and saute till light brown
  • Add tomato and cook
  • Add salt, haldi, biryani masala, dhaniya powder and cook
  • Add dahi and cook till oil separates
  • Add long cut pieces of potato, carrot and cook
  • Add soya and cook
  • Add rice along with 1.5 times quantity water
  • Add green peas and cook
  • Add kothmbir and mix
  • Let it cool down for 1 hour and then serve
