Preparation
- Heat oil in a vessel. Add rai, jeera, kalonji, methi dana, kadi patta, and tej patta, and sauté.
- Add ginger–chilli paste and sauté.
- Add turmeric, salt, and Kashmiri chilli; mix well.
- Add tomatoes (cut into large pieces) and cook.
- Dry-roast fennel seeds, cloves, dalchini, and black cardamom; grind to a coarse powder and add to the mixture.
- Add jaggery and mix.
