Ingredients

  • Basmati rice - 10 kilos (Rs 890)
  • Urad dal - 1kg (Rs 348)
  • Jeera - 200 gm
  • Kashmiri mirch - 250 gm
  • Tamarind - 0.5 kg
  • Dhaniya - 200 gm
  • Potatoes - 7 kg
  • Beans - 1 kg (Rs 340)
  • Cauliflower - 2.5 Kg
  • Coconut powder - 900 gms
  • Coconut milk - 5 Lt
  • Dhaniya powder - 50 gms
  • Jeera powder - 50gms
  • Amchur powder - 50 gms
  • Kadipatta - 1 bunch
  • Rai - 50 gms

Preparation

  • Rinse rice in water and cook. Add little salt and oil.
  • Saute urad dal, jeera, kashmiri mirchi, dhaniya till dal becomes brownish
  • Cool and then grind in mixer with tamrind, coconut and water
  • Cook vegetables
  • Add above paste to the cooked vegetables
  • Add salt, jeera powder, dhaniya powder, amchur powder and mix
  •  In a separate vessel, put oil/ghee, rai, jeera and kadipatta and mix
