Ingredients
- Basmati Rice - 8 Kg
- Curd - 11 Kg
- Milk - 3 Lt
- Pomegranate - 10
- Grapes - 3 Kg
- Coconut - 3
- Rai - 150 gms
- Kothmir - 1 big
- Green chillies - 100 gms
- Kadipatta - 10 twigs
- Salt, Oil, Sugar
Preparation
- Soak Rice in water for around 1 hour.
- Cook rice in vessel (add salt and little oil) such that rice is covered in water and only a little above rice level
- Once cooked, remove rice, rinse in cold water and spread so that rice cools down
- Add some oil to rice, so that it does not stick
- In another vessel, add milk, curd, coconut, salt and mix. Add some water to make it semi solid, not too watery
- Mix pomegrante and grapes (grapes cut in half vertically) with curd
- Add rice and mix
- Heat oil/ghee, add rai and wait for splutter
- Add jeera, kadipatta, chillies and saute. Add to rice
- Add some ice to the curd rice, so that it gets cool
