Ingredients

  • Rice - 8Kg
  • Tur Dal - 4 Kg
  • Onion - 4 Kg
  • Tomato - 3 Kg
  • Jeera - 100 gms
  • Chilli Powder - 100 gms
  • Chillies - 200 gms
  • Ginger - 250 gms
  • Kothmbir - 1 Big
  • Ghee - 1 Kg
  • Rai, haldi, hing

Preparation

  • Wash rice and soak in water for 30 mins
  • Take water in vessel, add salt and let it boil
  • Add rice and cook
  • Soak dal in vessel for a couple of hours
  • Wash dal and put in vessel with double quantity water
  • Add haldi and cook
  • In another vessel, heat oil, add rai and wait till splutter
  • Add jeera, hing and saute
  • Add onions and saute
  • Add tomato and saute
  • Add haldi, chilli powder, ghee, salt and saute
  • Add to dal and mix
