Ingredients

  • Basmati Rice - 8 Kg
  • Green Moong - 4 Kg
  • Moong Dal - 2 Kg
  • Carrot - 3 Kg
  • Mutter - 2 Kg
  • Soya Chunks - 0.5 Kg
  • Onion - 3 Kg
  • Potato - 4 Kg
  • Tomato - 2 Kg
  • Kothmbir - 1
  • Black Pepper - 100 gms
  • Mirchi Powder - 100 gms
  • Dhaniya Powder - 50 gms
  • Ghee - 1 Kg
  • Ginger - 200 gms
  • Green Chillies - 200 gms
  • Garlic - 100 gms
  • Jeera - 200 gms
  • Rai - 100 gms

Preparation

  • Soak green moong in water overnight
  • Heat oil, add rai and wait till splutter
  • Add black pepper, ginger, green chillies and saute
  • Add potato, carrot and saute
  • Add rice, moong dal, green moong and saute
  • Add 2.5 times water
  • Add haldi, corriander powder, chilli powder, salt and mix
  • Add soya chunks and mix
  • After half boiled, add mutter and mix
  • In another vessel, heat oil, ghee
  • Add garlic, jeera and mix
  • Add onions and saute till brown
  • Add tomato and saute
  • Add above tadka to khichdi and mix
  • Add kothmbir and mix
