Ingredients

  • Rice - 8 Kg
  • Potato - 5 Kg
  • Clustered beans - 2 Kg
  • Drumstick - 1 Kg
  • Bhindi - 1 Kg
  • Tomatoes - 1 Kg
  • Methi dana - 100 gms
  • Rai - 200 gms
  • Ginger - 200 gms
  • Tamrind - 700 gms
  • Besan - 2 Kg
  • Kadipatta

Preparation

  • Heat oil in a vessel, add rai and wait till it splutters
  • Add ginger and saute
  • Add methi dana and saute
  • Add kadipatta and saute
  • Add besan and mix
  • Keep adding water and mix ensuring there are no lumps
  • Add tomatoes and mix
  • Once the mixture boils, add potatoes and keep mixing till it cooks
  • In another vessel, add oil, saute drumstick, bhindi and clustered beans
  • Add sauted drumstick, bhindi, clustered beans and mix
  • Soak tamrind in water and squeeze
  • Add tamrind water to kadhi and mix
  • Boil
