Ingredients

  • Onion - 5 Kg
  • Tomatoes - 4 Kg
  • Birista - 1 Kg
  • Moong Dal - 4 Kg
  • Masoor Dal - 1 Kg
  • Chana Dal - 1 Kg
  • Rice - 7 Kg
  • Jeera - 200 gms
  • Ghee - 1 Kg
  • Garam Masala - 150 gms
  • Ginger - 250 gms
  • Green Chilly - 200 gms
  • Kothmbir - 1 Big
  • Hing - 50 gms
  • Bedgi Mirchi - 100 gms
  • Saron ka Tel - 2 Lt

Preparation

  • Soak moong dal, masoor dal and chana dal in water for a few hours
  • Soak rice in water for 1 hour
  • Cook moong dal, masoor dal and chana dal adding some salt and keep aside
  • Cook rice adding salt and keep aside
  • Fry birista in ghee and keep aside
  • Heat oil, add jeera, hing, bedgi mirchi and saute
  • Add ginger, garlic and green chilly paste and saute
  • Add onion and saute till brown
  • Add tomatoes and cook
  • Add salt, garam masala and mix
  • Add cooked dals and mix
  • Add rice and mix
  • Add kothmbir and mix
  • Add fried birista on top and serve
