  • Jeera Powder - 500 + 200 gms

Preparation

Mix Vegetable

  • Cut sweet potato, brinjal, potato, simla mirch, carrot into long pieces.
  • Boil soya in water, cool and squeeze out water
  • Fry each of them individually and keep aside
  • In a vessel, heat oil, add jeera, ginger, garlic, green chillies and saute
  • Add onion and saute
  • Add haldi, jeera powder, dhaniya powder and cook
  • Add tomatoes and cook
  • Add above fried vegetables and mix 

Sweet Boondi

  • Mix besan with water little by little and keep stirring so that there are no lumps
  • Add little baking soda and mix
  • Keep stirring till batter becomes smooth and semi solid. Batter should not be too watery or too thick
  • Heat oil + ghee
  • To prepare boondi, pour the batter slowly over skimmer, keeping the oil hot.
  • Stir occasionally, until the boondi turns golden and crisp.
  • To prepare sugar syrup, in a vessel take cup sugar and 3/4th cup water
  • Stir and mix well until the sugar melts
  • Add elaichi powder and stir
  • Boil until the sugar syrup turns slightly sticky (one string consistency)
  • Add syrup to above boondi and mix
  • Add kaju, kishmis, lavang and mix

Mix Dal

  • Soak toor dal, akka moong dal, masoor dal in water for 10 hours
  • Cook dal 
  • In another vessel, heat oil, add rai
  • Add jeera, red chillies, ginger and saute
  • Add onions and saute
  • Add haldi, jeera powder, dhaniya powder and mix
  • Add tomatoes and mix
  • Add salt, chilli powder and mix
  • Add some water and bring to boil
  • Add above to dal and mix
  • Add kothmbir and mix
