Ingredients

  • Rice - 10 Kg
  • Green Moong - 6 Kg
  • Potato - 4 Kg
  • Onion - 4 Kg
  • Tomato - 3 Kg
  • Jeera - 150 gms
  • Dhaniya jeera powder - 200 gms
  • Green peas - 2 Kg
  • Kaju - 500 gms
  • Chilli Powder - 100 gms
  • Chillies - 200 gms
  • Ginger - 250 gms
  • Ghee - 1 Kg
  • Rai - 200 gms

Preparation

  • Soak green moong in water overnight
  • Soak rice in water for 1 hour
  • Boil water, add salt, little oil, add rice and cook
  • Boil green peas
  • Heat ghee, add jeera and saute
  • Add green peas and rice and mix
  • In a vessel, add water, green moong, potatoes, haldi and cook
  • In a vessel, heat ghee + oil
  • Add rai and wait till splutter
  • Add ginger, green chillies and saute
  • Add onion and saute
  • Add haldi, tomatoes, chilli powder, dhaniya jeera powder and cook
  • Add above to green moong and mix
  • Add little sugar, kasuri methi and mix
