Ingredients

  • Rice - 7 Kg
  • Onion - 4 Kg
  • Tomato - 7 Kg
  • Dhaniya - 100 gms
  • Jeera - 100 gms
  • Bedgi Mirchi - 100 gms
  • Chutney Chana - 100 gms
  • Shengana - 500 gms
  • Rai - 50 gms
  • Boondi - 1 Kg
  • Haldi, pepper and lavang

Preparation

  • Saute Jeera, Dhaniya, Bedgi Mirchi and Chutney chana. Cool and grind into fine powder
  • In another vessel, heat oil, then add rai, jeera and shengana
  • Then add onions, haldi and saute
  • Add tomato, above powder and mix
  • Cook on low flame for a long time
  • Soak Rice in water for 1 hour
  • Add oil, pepper, lavang and salt to rice water (2x) and cook
  • After rice is 80% cooked, switch off gas and keep covered
  • Mix rice with above tomato paste, add boondi and serve
