Ingredients
- Rice - 7 Kg
- Onion - 4 Kg
- Tomato - 7 Kg
- Dhaniya - 100 gms
- Jeera - 100 gms
- Bedgi Mirchi - 100 gms
- Chutney Chana - 100 gms
- Shengana - 500 gms
- Rai - 50 gms
- Boondi - 1 Kg
- Haldi, pepper and lavang
Preparation
- Saute Jeera, Dhaniya, Bedgi Mirchi and Chutney chana. Cool and grind into fine powder
- In another vessel, heat oil, then add rai, jeera and shengana
- Then add onions, haldi and saute
- Add tomato, above powder and mix
- Cook on low flame for a long time
- Soak Rice in water for 1 hour
- Add oil, pepper, lavang and salt to rice water (2x) and cook
- After rice is 80% cooked, switch off gas and keep covered
- Mix rice with above tomato paste, add boondi and serve
