Ingredients
- Basmati rice - 10 kilos (Rs 890)
- Urad dal - 1kg (Rs 348)
- Jeera - 200 gm
- Kashmiri mirch - 250 gm
- Tamarind - 0.5 kg
- Dhaniya - 200 gm
- Potatoes - 7 kg
- Beans - 1 kg (Rs 340)
- Cauliflower - 2.5 Kg
- Coconut powder - 900 gms
- Coconut milk - 5 Lt
- Dhaniya powder - 50 gms
- Jeera powder - 50gms
- Amchur powder - 50 gms
- Kadipatta - 1 bunch
- Rai - 50 gms
Preparation
- Rinse rice in water and cook. Add little salt and oil.
- Saute urad dal, jeera, kashmiri mirchi, dhaniya till dal becomes brownish
- Cool and then grind in mixer with tamrind, coconut and water
- Cook vegetables
- Add above paste to the cooked vegetables
- Add salt, jeera powder, dhaniya powder, amchur powder and mix
- In a separate vessel, put oil/ghee, rai, jeera and kadipatta and mix
